DIED - At his home in the southern part of Stratford, Sunday morning, February 4, 1900, Peter Okerstrom, at the age of 68 years, 9 months and 24 days.

Peter Okerstrom was born at Vinoker [Vingåker], Södermanland, Sweden, April 11, 1831. He was united in marriage in 1861 to Miss Ina Erickson, emigrated to America in 1869, and settled in Swede Bend in which vicinity he has lived ever since. In 1871 his companion was called to dwell with her Redeemer, leaving him to care for his family and fight the battle of life alone. The fruits of this union were five children of whom two are living, three having preceded him to the better land.
