EMMA JOHNSON PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Emma Johnson, widow of Peter J. Johnson, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nels Johnson, Ralston, at the age of 80 years. She had been living with her daughter for the last 3 weeks. She had formerly lived on Rt. 1, Stanhope, north of Boone.

She is survived by two daughters and three sons, Mrs. Nels Johnson, Glidden; Mrs. Harold Essick, Pocahontas; Cecil, Newell, Ia.; Chester, Boone; and Walter, Stanhope.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 23, at 2 p.m., from the home of her son, Walter, on Highway No. 60, and at 2:30 p.m. from the South Marion church in Stratford. The Rev. W.J. Snarr will have charge of the services.

Burial will be in South Marion cemetery. The body will be taken to the son's home tomorrow.
