Obituary
Felleson

Charles Gustaf Felleson was born August 3, 1865, at Moline, Illinois, and came to Iowa with his parents in 1870. He was confirmed and united with the Swedish Lutheran church of this place in 1883. He passed away at the hospital in Webster City Wednesday morning, November 18, 1914, at the age of 49 years, 3 months and 15 days. Father, mother, two brothers and one sister have preceded him to the better land and he leaves to mourn his departure two brothers, Frank and Albert, and one sister, Mrs. C.A. Barquist of near Stanhope, besides other relatives and a host of friends.

The deceased was one of the highly respected young men of this community and when the announcement of his death reached the ears of his friends it was like a thunderbolt from a clear sky. On the Tuesday previous to his death he was taken severely ill, being unconscious at times, and toward evening he was taken to the hospital at Webster City, but he had already passed beyond surgical aid. He was taken ill about a year ago, while returning from a trip to Bancroft, which is thought to have been the beginning to his untimely end. Mr. Felleson was one of the widely known men of this county and for several years held the office of assessor of this township. He was also one of the trustees in tho Lutheran church and held other offices of trust to the satisfaction of all concerned. For several years he made his home in Colorado but has resided on the farm near Stratford continuously since returning from Colorado. He was well liked by all who knew him and was always willing to help in any movement and his demise is mourned by an unusually large list of friends.

The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Lutheran church conducted by his pastor, Rev. C.A. Callerstrom, who paid a beautiful tribute to the memory of the deceased. After the large crowd assembled had been permitted to pay a parting glance at the face of their departed friend the remains were escorted to the South Marion cemetery, where they were interred.

Card of Thanks.
We wish to herewith express our heartfelt thanks to those who so kindly assisted us during the death of our brother. Also for the expressions of sympathy and for the beautiful floral emblem from the Stanhope M.W.A. Camp. May God be with you all.
Mrs. C. A. Barquist,
Frank Felleson,
Albert Felleson.
