The six year old son of Mr. and Mrs. C.E. [Charles & Anna Louise Norling] Carlson passed away at 12 o'clock Tuesday night. The little fellow has for two months been sick with inflammatory rheumatism and has suffered a great deal. No arrangements have yet been made for the funeral.

Marvin Leroy Carlson was born in Dodge township, Boone county, Iowa, on November 17, 1899, and died in Dodge township, January 1st, 1907, at the age of 7 years, 1 month and 14 days. Father, mother, one brother and one sister are left to mourn his early departure. Marvin is gone, but not forgotten.

Buried on Jan. 4, 1907 next to paternal grandparents, Samuel August and Mary (Peterson) Carlson.
