OBITUARY

Bjustrom

Friday afternoon Joe Bjustrom was found lying on the floor of his home in the south part of town unconscious by a neighbor who went to his home to call on him. Medical aid was summoned and relatives notified but he passed away late that evening. He lived alone in the house and had suffered a stroke of paralysis and it is not definitely known how long he had been lying there unconscious.

Joseph Bjustrom was born in Madrid, Iowa, April 20, 1863 and passed away April 2, 1926, at the age of 62 years, 11 months, 18 days.

He had lived in this county since early childhood and the past eleven years he had been a citizen of Stratford. For a number of years he was a member of the South Marion M.E. Church.

Several years ago he had a stroke which partly paralyzed his left side. He recovered from that one sufficiently so that he could take care of his home and do the little tasks that his daily life required.

He leaves three brothers, one sister and a number of other relatives to mourn his passing. The brothers are: Victor and John Bjustrom of Stratford and Caleb Bjustrom of northern Iowa; Mrs. O.W. Holstrum of this place was his only sister.

Funeral services were held from the South Marion church Sunday afternoon and interment was made in the South Marion Cemetery. The South Marion quartet sang several numbers at the service.
