Clifford Gage, 86, died Thursday, July 6, 2000 at his home. The body was cremated. Memorial services were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Hope United Methodist Church in Marshalltown of which he was a member. The cremains were buried at Graceland Cemetery on Monday.
Mr. Gage was born in Webster City. He was a former Daily Freeman Journal employee. He lived in Marshalltown since 1954 and was a retired newspaper pressman.
Survivors are his wife Ruth [married Ruth Branch August 2, 1940 in Webster City], two sons, Vernon and Larry, both of Marshalltown, three sisters, Velda Apel of Charles City, Mabel Warwick and Hila Bergeson, both of Webster City; a brother Virgil of Webster City, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pursel-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in Marshalltown handled arrangements.
