Ida Blue, 97, Webster City, died Wednesday, June 28, 2000 at the Hamilton Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Travis Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Mrs. Blue was cremated. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral Home.
Ida Johanna Marzinke, daughter of Gustav and Hulda Schmidt Marzinke, was born June 17, 1903 at Pewaukee, Wis. She was educated in Pewaukee and Milwaukee. In 1925, she married Gale T. Pearce at Milwaukee. The couple resided in Wisconsin, Illinois and New Jersey. He preceded her in death in 1947. She returned to Webster City in 1957. She married Walter Blue in 1957.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Florence Grenwis of Pewaukee, Wis., several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ernie Grenwis, sisters Elsa Marzinke, Louise Manske and Bertha Ellington.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
