Robert D. Blue, 71, Indiana, PA., died Monday, May 15, 2000 at the Indiana, PA Hospital. Private visitation and funeral services were held at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home in Homer City, PA. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, PA. A tree will be planted in living memory of Robert Blue.

The son of Guerney Blue and Lillian Stein Pierce, and step-son of Floyd Pierce, Robert Blue was born May 27, 1928 in Webster City. He attended Webster City High School. He was a veteran of World War II and was retired from the U.S. Postal service as a mail carrier. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Wheaton, MD., and the VFW.

Survivors are his wife, S. Frances Blue, step-brother, Dick Pierce, Florida, two sisters-in-law, Betty Reed, Indiana, PA., Phyllis Floyd and her husband William, Homer City, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Darlene Richey.
