Word has been received of the death of Thomas and Margaret Beall McCarthy of Bellevue, Washington.

Margaret Beall grew up and lived in Williams until her marriage. Tom McCarthy was the son of Mr. and Mrs. C.C. McCarthy of Webster City. His father was well-known throughout the area as the long-time city manager here.

Mrs. McCarthy died on Feb. 22, 2000 and Mr. McCarthy died on April 9. Both deaths were attributed to cancer. No other details were available.
