Mrs. Chester Neal, 52, the former Mary Smedley, formerly of Webster City, died Monday at Dener, Colo., after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services are pending.

She is survived by her husband; four children, Mrs. Herb Hewitt, Chester Neal, Jr., Jerry Neal and Mrs. Linda Meachem, all of Golden, Colo.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Arlene Conant of California; 13 grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Joe Huisinga of Denison, Iowa; Gene Smedley, Mt. Clair, Calif.; Mrs. Pauline Preston of Buena Vista, Calif.; Mrs. Orville Nixon, Mt. Clair, Calif.; Mrs. Harold Moss and Mrs. Alfred Huisinga, both of Webster City. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a step-son; a grandson and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Smedley.
