Roger Jackson, 65, Stanhope, died Thursday, March 23, 2000 at Southfield Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Foster Funeral home with Rev. Doug Bullock-Tiffany officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home two hours before the service.

Roger Jean Jackson, son of Lee and Juanita Baldwin Jackson, was born Nov. 5, 1934 at Webster City. He received his education in Webster City Schools and attended welding school in Fort Dodge. He worked at welding and maintenance in Gowrie, as a welder in the U.S. Navy shipyards in Bremerton, WA., at Frigidaire in Webster City and Norwest Manufacturing in Stanhope. He retired due to failing health. He had resided at Southfield for one week.

Survivors are his brother, Wayne Jackson of Webster City, sisters Sharon Brady and Janice Garrett, both of Seattle, WA., and Marilyn Olmstead of Silverdale, WA., nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Russell, Robert and Walter Jackson.
