Luella Dahlgren, 70, Webster City, died Friday, March 24, 2000 at Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Faith United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Monday and after 11:30 a.m. at the church.

Luella Marie Claude, daughter of George and Josephine Conrad Claude, was born Nov. 17, 1929 at Woolstock. She graduated from Clarion High School, then attended college and received a teaching certificate. She taught rural schools in the Woolstock area. On Oct. 21, 1950 she married Darl Dean Dahlgren at Woolstock. The couple farmed northwest of Blairsburg, then east of Woolstock. The couple moved to Webster City in 1994. She was a homemaker and seamstress. Mr. Dahlgren died March 22, 1996. She continued to reside in Webster City.

Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, David and Debbie Dahlgren of Ankeny, a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Alfredo Chorro of Redwood City, CA., grandchildren, Laura Dahlgren, Carlos and Andres Chorro-Dahlgren, sisters Phyllis Hass of Rock Rapids, Jeanette Best of Lakewood, IA., brother Conrad Claude of Omaha; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church. She worked with the youth of Mulberry Center United Methodist Church for many years.
