Pearl E. McFerren, Naples, FL., died Saturday, March 18, 2000. Private family services will be followed by entombment at Naples Memorial Gardens.

Pearl E. Blue, daughter of Arthur and Anna Seamands [Seamonds] Blue, was born in Hamilton County, IA and graduated from Kamrar High School. She attended Ellsworth College in Iowa Falls and Fort Dodge Business College. She was employed for ten years in the F.J. Lund Law Office in Webster City and later served as the executive secretary of the Hamilton County Chapter of the American Red Cross for seven years. She married Robert McFerren of Webster City on July 3, 1934 and the couple made their home in Webster City until moving to Cedar Falls in 1958. They later moved to Fort Collins, CO., and in 1976, moved to Fort Myers, FL. Following the death of her husband in 1988, she relocated to Naples.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Myers, FL., and also a member of Chapter 78, Order of the Eastern Star in Cedar Falls.

Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pierce, Harriett Pierce, granddaughters, Laura Altaratz and Elizabeth Pierce, and great-grandson, Ethal Altaratz, all of Naples; nieces and nephews.

[can find nothing that tells me when she was born; however, she graduated from Kamrar High School in 1916 and her classmates were born in 1899 or 1900]
