Patricia Whitney, 72, Waterloo, died Tuesday, March 7, 2000 at the Windsor Nursing Home in Cedar Falls. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Rev. John Walsh, celebrant. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Webster City. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and at the church after 12:30 p.m. Saturday. A scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Patricia Ann Chambers, daughter of Michael and Agnes Berry Chambers, was born March 12, 1927 in Webster City. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Webster City in 1945. She attended the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls and worked in the John Deere secretarial pool. On Feb. 18, 1950 she married Charles Whitney in Waterloo. The couple resided in Waterloo. She was a homemaker. In 1980, the couple moved to Nevada and back to Waterloo in 1991.

She is survived by her husband, Charles, daughters, Ann Shaner of Cedar Falls, Janet Green of Waterloo, son, Jim Whitney of Janesville, eight grandchildren, brother, Bill Chambers of Spencer, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John, Francis and Father Robert Chambers, sisters Mary Mueller and Margaret Murphy.

She was a member of the St. Edwards Catholic Church in Waterloo and a former member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City.
