Esther Schutt, 88, Webster City, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000 at the Southfield Care Center. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Gibson officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery of Fort Dodge.

Esther Helen Schroder, daughter of Albert and Ada Nelson Schroder, was born April 3, 1911 at Galt. She graduated from Galt High School. On May 5, 1943 she married Ralph Gerald Schutt at Nashua. The couple farmed near Woolstock until 1946 when they moved to Webster City. She was employed at the Flamingo Motel for many years. Mr. Schutt died Jan. 21, 1980. She moved to Southfield in Sept. of 1995.

Survivors are grandchildren Karen Tobo, Englewood, CO., and Keith Johnson of Spencer; great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Lynne Johnson; brother Eldon Schroder of Beloit, WI., sister Alberta Lawson of Eolia, MO., several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Johnson in 1985, parents, brothers Wendell, Willis and Gordon Schroder, and a sister Olive Kluss.

She was a member of the Galt Congregational Church.
