Roger F. Mesecher, 61, Fort Dodge, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000 at Tompkins Health Center of Friendship Haven. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Kem officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. Thursday and prior to the service on Friday.

Roger Fredrick Mesecher, son of Arthur and Nadean Madson Mesecher, was born July 26, 1938 at Webster City. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Webster City in 1956. He managed Community Lanes in Webster City. On March 26, 1961 he married Darlene Hoover at Webster City. He was employed by Marv Carpenter Masonry in Webster City. They moved to Dodge City, KS in 1982 where he did masonry work. They moved to Fort Dodge in 1990 and he managed the Dodger Tap later retiring because of failing health. He had resided at Friendship Haven for the past two years.

Survivors are his wife, Darlene, daughters and son-in-law, Jeanette Mesecher of Ankeny, Cindy and Ken Blankenship of McPherson, KS., sons and daughters-in-law Tim and Bonnie Mesecher of St. George, UT., Craig and Robin Mesecher, Newton, KS., nine grandchildren, mother, Nadean Mesecher Griffen, Webster City, sisters, Barbara Carpenter and Linda Lundy, both of Webster City, a brother, Ron Mesecher of Jewell, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, brother Larry Mesecher and nephew Larry Mesecher Jr.

He was a member of First Baptist Church.
