Kenneth G. Olson, Randall, 70, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000 at Ames. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Elim Lutheran Church in Randall with Rev. Jim Norem officiating. Burial will be at the Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Visitation will be Sunday after 3 p.m. at Elim Lutheran Church, with the family present from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City is in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth G. Olson, the son of George and Ella (Moder) Olson, was born May 1, 1929 in Clintonville, Wisc. Mr. Olson served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.

On Dec. 22, 1951 he married Florence Wilkins. The couple has lived in Randall since 1990 and in Des Moines prior to that. He was an industrial safety manager and retired as product manager at Frigidaire in Webster City.

He is survived by: his wife, Florence of Randall; two daughters, Ingrid Prail of Des Moines and Brenda Riemenschneider of Des Moines; a son, Mark Olson of Ames; six grandchildren; a sister, Ina Rose Krueger of Marion, Wisc.; and a brother, Robert Olson of Embarrass, Wisc.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Floyd and Dale; and a sister, Velma Laux.

Mr. Olson was a member of Elim Lutheran Church and the American Society of Safety Engineers. Memorials may be made to the Israel Family Hospice in Ames or Elim Lutheran Church.
