Rex Lee, 86, Webster City, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2000 at the Hamilton Hospital. Mr. Lee will be cremated and memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. James Buffington officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and prior to the service on Saturday.

Arthur Rex Lee, son of Arthur (Mike) and Hattie Fairfield Lee, was born Nov. 26, 1913 on a farm northwest of Blairsburg. He attended a rural school and also attended Woolstock High School. In 1939, he married Peg Stafford. The couple resided in Webster City. He had a trucking business, then was a livestock buyer and seller. He was a buyer for the Producers Commission Company of Sioux City, based at the Central Iowa Stockyards in Webster City. He started the House of Bargains, later selling to Betty Meyer.

Survivors are his wife Peg, son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Jeanine Lee of El Toro, CA; daughters and sons-in-law, Roma and Dean Johnson of Kona, Hawaii, Janet and Fred Wills of Rogers, AR., grandchildren, Joel, Ayumi, Matt, Sarah and Chris Johnson, Jeffrey, Elizabeth and Jennifer Lee, Kent and Tiffany Wills, great-grandchildren, Chikako and Rylan Johnson, Bradi O'Leary; a brother, Dean Lee of Webster City; a sister, Mary Farlie of Rancho Murietta, CA., several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronald Lee.

He was a member of the First Congregational Church, the Iowa Falls Elks Lodge and the Webster City Moose Lodge.
