Dean R. Linn, 74, Webster City, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Faith United Methodist Church. Mr. Linn was cremated and burial will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hamilton County Hospice.

Dean R. Linn, son of Harmon C. and Faye Sexton Linn, was born in Carroll County. He lived in Webster City for 44 years. On June 5, 1949 he married Darlene D. Wever at the EUB Church in Ralston, IA. Prior to his retirement in 1990, Mr. Linn was employed at Van Diest Supply Company and was LPG Sales and Service Manager. His military service was with the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, the American Legion Post #191 and was a winter Texan at the Trails End Mobile Park in Weslaco, TX.

Survivors are his wife Darlene; two sons and daughters-in-law Dennis and Linda Linn, Spencer, Dana and Barbara Linn of Webster City; two daughters and sons-in-law, DeAnn D. and Frank Peed of Clinton, WI., Donna and Myron Garth of Webster City; 10 grandchildren and their spouses, Cory and Heidi Peed, Green Bay, WI., JoEllyn Peed, Brody and Tracy Peed, Clinton, WI., Jennifer Garth, Jacksonville, FL., Sunshine Garth, Webster City, Kelli, Katie and Kristi Linn, Spencer, Brittany and Devin Linn, Webster City, one great-grandson, Carter Dylan Smith; a brother Harmon Linn of Coon Rapids and a sister Dorothea Lauridsen, Glidden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Dale, a brother in infancy Lyle and a sister Pauline Caskey.
