Muriel Lehman, 91, Webster City, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000 at the Crestview Manor. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Davenport officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and at the church after 11 a.m. Friday.

Muriel May Lehman, daughter of John and Jessie Johnson Lehman, was born Jan. 3, 1909 on a farm near Algona. At the age of one, she moved with her parents to Goldfield, where she received much of her education. She graduated from Jewell High School in 1927. She received her nursing degree from Iowa Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in 1931. She worked at the Hamilton County Public Hospital, then was employed as a Hamilton County Public Health nurse for several years. She received her BS in Public Health Nursing and traveled for the University of Iowa throughout the state for several years. She was also a certified Red Cross nurse by the American Red Cross. She retired in 1970 and moved to Crestview Apartments in 1991 and to Crestview Manor in 1993.

She is survived by a brother, Merrill Lehman, St. Louis Park, MN., and sister, Margaret Grubbs, Silver Springs, MD. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Lehman.

She was a longtime member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
