Richard E. Riley, 76, Ozark, MO., a Webster City native, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000 at Ozark, MO. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Webster City. Visitation will be Thursday at Foster Funeral home.

Richard E. Riley, son of Clarence and Tressa Riley, was born Dec. 17, 1923 at Webster City. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1942, and attended Webster City Junior College. On June 23, 1946 he married Mary Lumsden at Fort Dodge. He farmed most of his life in Fremont Township and also worked in the Hamilton County Assessor's Office, retiring after 30 years. He was a 50 year member of the Royal Arch Masons, was a past Watchman of Sheperd of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, the Church of Christ and in recent years, a member of Countryside Christian Church in Ozark.

Survivors are his wife, Mary of Ozark, MO., three sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Bernie Riley of Colorado Springs, CO., Larry and Shirley Riley of Ozark, MO., Gary and Jeanne Riley of Kansas City, MO., 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; a step-sister, Marilyn Williams, Duncombe. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Keria.
