Myrtle E. Hensley, 97, Fort Dodge Villa Care center, died March 28 at the care center. Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Gunderson Funeral Home in Fort Dodge with Rev. Gregory Bock officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Myrtle E. Freed was born October 10, 1901 at Harcourt. She attended school there. For many years, she worked as a domestic and child care provider in the Fort Dodge and Webster City areas.

Survivors are her sons, Robert Hensley of Pasadena, CA., Donald of Fort Dodge, and a daughter, Darlene Best, Webster City; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Selma Freed, three grandchildren, four sisters and five brothers.

She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge.
