Mabel P. Schutt, 95, Williams, died Monday, Oct. 18, 1999 at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Vernon Lutheran Church at rural Dows. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Clarion. Visitation will be at Surls Funeral Home in Williams from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.

Mabel Pearl Heiden, daughter of Ernest and Anna Thorman Heiden, was born July 10, 1904 in Vernon Township, Wright County. She married Henry M. Schutt on Sept. 16, 1925. She had been a homemaker and was a member of Vernon Lutheran Church.

Survivors are her children, Anna and Henry Huisinga, Clarion, Marilyn Ubben of Williams, Fred and Mary Schutt of Williams, Sharon and Ronald Brandy of Ackley, Thomas and Pam Schutt of Williams; 26 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, Sally Schutt of Alden and Norma Schutt of Jefferson, brother and sister-in-law, Herbert and Vivian Heiden of Williams, sisters Vernie Schutt of Clarion and Goldie Nachazel, Kansas City; sister-in-law, Doris Heiden, Alden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1970, sons John and William, a grandson, Gregory, a son-in-law, Melvin Ubben; brothers Fred, Irvin and Leo Heiden and sister Myrtle Rockow.
