Frank W. Stearns, 86, Webster City, died Sept. 25, 1999 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Webster City with Rev. Bill Kem officiating. Private burial will be at Graceland Cemetery prior to the service.

Visitation will be at Foster Funeral Home on Monday night and the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.

Frank William Stearns, son of William and Grace Teal Stearns, was born June 6, 1913 in Webster City. He attended Saratoga School. On Feb. 1, 1935, he married Doris Anderson at Webster City. The couple resided on a farm south of Webster City and in 1945, they moved to a farm in Cass Township North of Webster City. They resided there until 1993 and then they moved into Webster City.

Survivors are wife Doris, daughter, ? Stearns of Bettendorf, brothers, Ralph and William, both of Webster City, sisters, Fannie Peters of Kanawha, Marjorie Wood of Pineville, OR., and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Jean Stearns in 1960, his parents and his step-mother, Helen B. Stearns and a brother John.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Birthday Club, Cass electric board member and a 12-year member of the Webster City Co-op.
