Leona Jensen, 86, Webster City, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999 at Southfield Care Center in Webster City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. John Grebner officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and prior to the services on Monday.

Leona Vera Westwick was born Oct. 12, 1912 on a farm in the Rose Grove area, the daughter of Jacob and Carrie [Hill] Westwick. She attended rural schools in that area and graduated from Ellsworth High School. On January 18, 1941, she married Alfred Jules Jensen at Jewell. The couple farmed west of Jewell, retiring in 1983 and moving to Webster City. Mr. Jensen died Jan. 19, 1997. She had resided at Southfield since December of 1998.

Survivors are a sister, Ruth Ruppel of Webster City, and a brother, Leonard Westwick of Iowa Falls, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Merlin, Jesse, Elmer Westwick and sister Irene Iverson.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City and church circles.
