Keith Jones, 73, Winterset, died Sept. 11, 1999 at his home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at the Ochiltree Funeral Service where the family will be present from 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in the Van Meter Cemetery at Van Meter with Military Honors performed by the VFW Post 8142 and American Legion Post 184, and Masonic Services performed by the Evening Star Post #43. Memorials may be directed to the Middle River Hospice or the First United Methodist Church of Winterset.

He was born April 28, 1926 in Jewell, the son of Floyd W. and Edith M. McDonald Jones. His marriage to Joanne Hulse took place Sept. 4, 1955 in Van Meter. He was a World War II army veteran.

Mr. Jones was involved in farming, building and agricultural real estate appraisal. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Winterset, the Masonic Lodge and the VFW.

Survivors are his wife, Joanne of Winterset, three sons and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Ginger Jones of Norwalk, John Jones and fiance Tamie Fisher of Winterset, Jay D. Jones of San Diego, CA; three daughters from a previous marriage, Pauletta Lindner, Odebolt, Alice Gwinner of Waukee, and Darla Rentschler of Cedar Rapids; one brother, Carroll Jones of Dallas Center, three sisters, Mary Lou Fisher and Martha McIntire, both of Webster City, and Leota Eittreim of Bellevue, NE.; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents. [his paents are buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Jewell, Iowa]
