Betty Jean Klein, 72, Combs, AR., died Sept. 11, 1999 at her home. A memorial reception was held at the Klein home on Tuesday. The body was cremated.

Betty Jean Mitchell was born in Webster City on Feb. 11, 1927, the daughter of Harold and Gladys Marvel Mitchell. She was a licensed practical nurse in the home health care field and was involved in the creative healing arts. She was a long time volunteer in nursing homes and hospice and other community activities.

Survivors are her husband, Keith Klein, two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Phil Winborn of Kalona, Kaye and Lee Collins of Fort Collins, CO., six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Kreg, in 1970.
