Harold Hanus, 64, Webster City, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1999 at his home. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Graceland Cemetery with Cindi O'Brien, pastoral assistant officiating. Mr. Hanus was cremated and there will be no visitation. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City.

Harold Richard Hanus, son of August and Ethel Johnson Hanus, was born Jan. 23, 1935 on a farm near Woolstock. He attended rural schools in that area. He had been employed at Copeland Ready Mix in Denver, Knutson Ready-Mix and Giese Ready-Mix of Eagle Grove and Carroll Ready-Mix. He retired to Webster City in 1995.

Survivors are his son, Harold R. Hanus Jr., Lincoln, AR., daughters, Candy Hanus of Goldfield, Cindy Johnson of Springdale, AR., 11 grandchildren, a brother, Melvin, Webster City, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Megan Schultz, brothers, Robert, Dean, Emil, Donald, Rayner and Gary Hanus and sisters Dorothy Conner and Norma Jenkins.
