Gerald Loraine Brim, son of Edgar and Mable McClellan Brim, was born Nov. 22, 1914 at Blairsburg. He graduated from Williams High School in 1933. On Sept. 13, 1935, he married Clarice Martin at Fort Dodge. He worked for Morton's in the early 1940's, then for McComb Motors which later was run by Northeast Hamilton School when he worked as mechanic for 42 years, until retiring in 1980. He had resided at Southfield for four days. [something is missing in this paragraph]

He is survived by his wife Clarice, sons and daughters-in-law, Bud and Alice Brim of Blairsburg, Gerald and Charlotte Brim of Williams; daughter Pat Cooper of Webster City; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ivan Brim, sisters, Marjorie Vournard and Virginia Holabur, a grandson and a great-grandson. [and this paragraph had too much in it which I deleted]

He was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational of Blairsburg and was Blairsburg Fire Chief from 1940-1950.
