Verda Jeanblanc, 84, Webster City, died Monday, July 26, 1999 at the Crestview Manor Care Center in Webster City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Rev. Eugene Ceperly, celebrant. Burial will be in the Corpus Christi Cemetery in Fort Dodge. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and at the church after 9 a.m. Thursday. A scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Verda Alexandria Larson, daughter of John and Anne Peterson Larson, was born March 29, 1915 on a farm southeast of Badger. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School. On April 16, 1936, she married Wilbur Jeanblanc at Fort Dodge. The couple farmed in the Vincent area. He died on January 15, 1983. She moved to Webster City in 1984 and to Crestview Manor in 1997.

Survivors are daughters and son-in-law, Janet and Ron Adams, Webster City, Joyce Jeanblanc of Cedar Rapids, son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Harriet Jeanblanc of Fort Dodge; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sisters, Julietta Asklund of Boone, Sylvia Erickson, Fort Dodge; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Edward and Glenn Larson, sisters, Ruth Kunert, Blanche Griep, Junis Johnson, Arlene Peterson and Myrtle Pepper.

She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, former member of the Catholic Daughters of America, was a teaching associate at the Vincent Elementary school for several years, a Webster County 4-H leader, a member of the Vincent Fire Department Auxiliary and the Hamilton County League of Women Voters.
