Margaret Olson Sundeen, 77, Marion, died Sunday, June 27, 1999 in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Marion, with the Rev. T. Edwards Breed officiating. Friends may call at the Murdoch Funeral Home, Marion, from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday. Private family committal will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton at a later date.

Survivors are her husband, Richard; a son and daughters-in-law, Paul and Traci Sandeen of Cedar Rapids, Peggy Sandeen of Des Moines, a sister, Helen Heleher of Algona, a brother John H. Olson of Webster City, four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, John.

Margaret Olson was born April 8, 1922 in Vinton, the daughter of John and Karin Pearson Olson. She married Richard Sandeen on August 28, 1999 [this is what the newspaper said - they were married in 1949] at Webster City. She was employed as the secretary of First United Methodist Church in Marion for 15 years. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion.
