Ruth Lucille Orrison, 87, Ellsworth, died Sunday, June 27, 1999 at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Ellsworth United Methodist Church in Ellsworth. Burial will be in the Radcliffe Cemetery, Visitation will be Monday from 7-9 p.m.

Ruth Lucille Orrison, 87, Ellsworth, was born June 28, 1911, on the family farm near Radcliffe. Her parents were Charles Carl and Christina Bernella Lawrence Fosseen. She attended grade school in Sherman Township and graduated from Radcliffe High School. On May 5, 1945 she married Charles Edward Orrison of Cornell, IL. They lived in Illinois three years after their marriage and then moved to Ellsworth in 1949. She spent most of her life as a homemaker and cook in the South Hamilton Community School district and at Riverside Bible Camp. Mr. Orrison died Oct. 29, 1970.

Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Judy Orrison, a granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Cihak, Sheldon, and a grandson, Thomas William Orrison, Iowa City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Jay, Glenn, Burton, Carl and Lloyd, sisters Antoinette Bergeson, Mae Hinderaker and Arlene Gehrke.
