Rose Marie Darnell, 72, Osage Beach, MO., died Wednesday, June 23, 1999 at Eldon Health Care Center. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 26 at Rekus Funeral home in Eldon. Rev. Jean Kirk will officiate. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Parkinson Foundation.

Rose Marie Darnell, daughter of Earl and Cora Thompson Dalbey, was born on Dec. 6, 1926 in Hamilton County, IA. On May 4, 1946 she married Melvin Darnell at Webster City. She was a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Webster City.

Survivors are her husband; three daughters, Constance Sweet of Clarion, Sally Barr of Russellville, MO., and Denise Scrivner of Kaiser, MO., one sister, Ethel DeMeerLeer, Van Nuys, CA; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters, and one granddaughter.
