Beulah (Mrs. Harold) Schroder, 80, of Webster City, died Friday evening, Sept. 4 at Southfield Care Center. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. today (Tuesday, Sept. 8) at First Congregational Church with the Rev. Ward Malloy officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery.

Beulah Marie Bell, daughter of John and Minnie Robinson Bell, was born Feb. 27, 1907 at Webster City. She was educated at the Blairsburg school. After obtaining a teaching certificate at Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls she taught in the rural Blairsburg schools.

On July 1, 1931 she married Harold H. Schroder at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She continued to teach for four years in rural schools. The couple farmed in the Williams and Blairsburg area until retiring in 1972 when they moved to Webster City.

She had been a resident at Southfield Care Center the past four months.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Harold R. (Dick) Schroder of La Mesa, Calif., and Charles R. Schroder of Blairsburg; one daughter, Shirley (Mrs. Charles) Harreld of Williams; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three sisters, Dorothy Grove, Lucille (Mrs. Keith) Vegors and Ada (Mrs. Richard) Janson of Webster City; and one brother, John R. Bell of Jewell.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

She was a member of First Congregational Church, Purity Rebekahs Lodge No. 72 (where she was a past noble grand), United Women's Fellowship and the Webster City Senior Citizens' Club.
