Franklin S. Frye, 49, of Gowrie, a former resident of Webster City, died Thursday, April 1, 1999 at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge. Mr. Frye will be cremated and memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Foster Funeral Home.

Franklin Steven Frye, son of Elvin and Luella Lee Frye, was born February 6, 1950 at Webster City. He graduated from Stratford High School. On July 20, 1971 he married Kathy Nairn at Dows. The couple resided in Webster City where he was employed with the city and Naden Industries. The couple were later divorced. On September 13, 1997 he married Cindy Wood Zaccone at Fort Dodge. The couple resided in Gowrie.

He is survived by his wife; Cindy, son; Jason Macias of Minneapolis, Mn., daughter; Stacey Carlson, medical specialist with the U.S. Army in Kotterbach, Germany, step-daughter; Erica Zaccone of Gowrie, grandson; Brendon Carlson, foster-mother; Velda Lee of Fort Dodge, sisters; Connie Bleske, Joyce Frye, Pamela Miller and Robin Ryan, all of Watertown, Wis., Janice Frye of Stanhope, brothers; Melvin Frye of Watertown, Rodney Frye of California, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, foster father; Orville Lee and sister; Linda Balsley.
