Jennie Viola Lehman, 86, Webster City, died at Southfield Care Center Thursday, April 1, 1999. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. John Grebner officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.

Jennie Viola Layton, daughter of J. Whit and Amanda Johnson Layton, was born Jan. 7, 1913 in Stratford Township in the Bells Mills area. She attended country schools in that area. In May of 1959, she married Arthur Lehman at Blue Earth, MN.

Survivors are her husband, Arthur, sons and daughters-in-law, Norman Ellsberry, Gary and Betty Ellsberry, both of Webster City, daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and LeRoy Strunk of Webster City, Nancy and Delmar Weiner of Webster City, Norma and Robert Strunk, Fort Dodge, Sylvia Ann and Marty Strom of Council Bluffs; 20 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
