Cora Laird, 59, Lehigh, died Thurs., April 8, 1999 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Lehigh Christian Church, with Pastors Wayne Lofton and Ray Artrip officiating. Burial will be in the West Lawn Cemetery at Lehigh. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday and at the church after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Cora Marie Traupe, daughter of Leo and Helen Anderson Traupe, was born September 30, 1939 on a farm south of Holbrook, NE. She graduated from Holbrook high school and attended Kearney State for two years. She started employment with the Billy Graham headquarters in Minneapolis. On October 12, 1962 she married Richard L. Laird at Holbrook. The couple resided in Minneapolis. She worked at Northrup King Seed Company in Minneapolis. They moved to Lehigh in 1964 where she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her Husband: Richard, son and daughter-in-law, John Michael and Susan Laird of Webster City, daughters: Helen Marie Laird of Lehigh, Caroline Melinda Laird of Fort Dodge, grandsons; Joshua David and Andrew Craig Laird, brother; John Leo Traupe of Broomfield, CO., several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother; Nolan Traupe and sister; Leona Switzer.

She was a member of the New Testament Church of Christ in Webster City and P.E.O. of Fort Dodge.
