Esther Marie Riley, 86, of Iowa Falls, died Thursday, April 8, 1999 at the Heritage Care Center, Iowa Falls. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church, Iowa Falls, with burial in the Graceland Cemetery, Webster City.

Esther Marie Cormaney was born February 13, 1913 at Blairsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Anna (Shultz) Cormaney. She attended rural Hamilton County Schools. On June 4, 1931, she was united in marriage to Orville E. Riley at the Methodist Parsonage, Webster City, Iowa. She was a homemaker.

Esther is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ladonna and Marlyn Duncan of Vinton, three grandchildren and spouses: Judith and Ralph Mann of Vinton, Janet and Dr. Timothy Gerhart of Cannon Falls, Mn., and Jon and Claire Duncan of Centerville, Virginia; five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Earl and Anna Cormaney; her husband; Orville Riley; two sisters; Violet Cormaney and Shirlee Meyer, and four brothers; Adelbert Cormaney, Kenneth Cormaney, Earl Cormaney Jr., and Charlie Cormaney.
