Harold (Pete) Peterson, 51, of Webster City, died Wednesday, April 28, 1999 at the Hamilton County Hospital. Mr. Peterson was cremated and the memorial services will be held 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Stone officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour before the service.

Harold Gene Peterson, son of Arthur and Alta Orr Peterson, was born February 7, 1948 at Fort Dodge. He received his education in the Eagle Grove schools, graduating in 1966. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1975 as an electronics specialist. In 1968, he married Rita Ryan in Las Vegas. To this union a son and daughter were born. They were divorced in 1982. On February 2, 1998 he married Lorainne (Lori) Cutler at Duncombe.

Following his discharge from the Navy, he worked in electronics in the civil service for 13 years. For four years he worked at Cable-Tech in California. In 1991, he moved to Duncombe and operated Pete's Place, a bar and restaurant, in Duncombe until 1997. He then worked part time for Duncombe area farmers and the NEW Cooperative.

He is survived by his wife: Lori, son: Harold Peterson, and daughter; Leslie Peterson, both of El Cajon, CA., step-children: David and Toni Hoyer of Renton, WA., Lisa and Ian Johnston of Madison, AL., grandchildren: Morgan Ables, Ashlee Peterson, step-grandson: Hunter Hoyer, brother; James (J.P.) Peterson of Fort Dodge, sister; Jean A. Miller of Webster City, parents; Arthur and Alta Peterson of Fort Dodge, maternal grandmother; Anne Orr of Eagle Grove; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be given to the American Diabetes Society.
