Gary G. Buzick, 66, Webster City, died Monday, February 15, 1999 at the Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Morgan officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral Home, Webster City, and prior to the services at the church on Thursday.

Gary Gale Gath Buzick, son of Carl and Mae (Barkema) Gath, was born Feb. 17, 1932 on a farm north of Jewell. He moved to Webster City in 1936 and graduated from Webster City Schools in 1949. He started employment with Fairmont Foods in farm route sales. In 1950, he started working for Beam Manufacturing (Frigidaire) in quality control. He retired in 1994. From 1952 to 1954, he served in the U.S. Army in Korea. On July 12, 1957, he married Dixie Oliver at Rowan. To this union, a daughter was born. They were divorced in 1966. In 1969, he married Carol Jean Thompson at Nashua. The couple has resided in Webster City.

Survivors are his wife Jean, his mother, Mae Buzick of Webster City, daughters and sons-in-law Kristi and Paul Gregg of Overland Park, KS., Melanie Mastin of San Diego, CA, Dawn and Dennis Diaz of Dallas, Texas, son and daughter-in-law Mark and Kathy Mastin, Webster City, a granddaughter, Erica Mastin, sister, Janet Kling of Webster City, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and his step-father, Kenneth Buzick.

He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
