Funeral services for Ethel Westrum, 83, Polk City, were held Saturday, Aug 21, 1993 at Calvary United Methodist Church Stratford. Rev LeRoy Kelderman and Rev Sue-Ellen Sherman conducted the 10:30 am service. Interment was held in South Marion Cemetery, Stratford. Arrangements were completed by Hamilton Funeral Home, Des Moines.
Mrs. Westrum passed away Thursday, Aug 19 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Des Moines.

During the service Kevin Crawford sang, "The Lord's Prayer," "How Great Thou Art" and "Blessed Be The Tie That Binds" accompanied by Dixie Johnson. Bearers were David Campbell, Richard Campbell, James Campbell, Kevin Crawford, Jon Smith, Jeff Smith, Jake Smith, and Jed Smith.

Ethel Brown was born on Sunday, Jan 23, 1910 at Webster City. She was the daughter of Charles H. and Mary Ellen (Dingman) Brown. Ethel lived in Stratford where she was a receptionist and bookkeeper at the veterinary clinic. She moved to Polk City seven years ago. She was a member of Marquisville United Methodist Church. Her husband, Eldon, passed away several years ago.

Survivors include daughters, Ramona Campbell, West Des Moines; Nancy Smith, Polk City; Mary Jane Delavan, Cedar Park, Texas; sisters, Helen Daniels, Duncombe; Ruth Hall, Webster City; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
