ELDON N. WESTRUM

STRATFORD-Eldon N. Westrum, 72, longtime Stratford resident , died at Cedar Park, Texas, Monday.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Calvary United Methodist church with Rev. Richard Russell officiating and with burial in South Marion cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hanson-Stark-Welin Funeral home in Stratford, Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. when the casket will be taken to the church.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel; three daughters, Mrs. Romona Campbell, Des Moines, Mrs. Nancy Smith, Polk City, and Mrs. Mary Jane Delaven of Cedar Park, Texas; one son, Jonas Westrum of Greattinger, Iowa;
18 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Erickson of Davenport, and Mrs. Alberta Ewing of Cedar Rapids.
Eldon Neese Westrum was born July 13, 1911 at Stratford, the son of Jonas and Ica Cora Neese Westrum.
On Jan. 1, 1932, he married Ethel Brown at Webster City. He owned and operated the Stratford Concrete Co. until he retired.
He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist church in Stratford, the Masonic Lodge Acorn Chapter 601.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister.
