Hannah Swedlund

Hannah L. Swedlund, 87 of 525 Tama St. died at the Boone County Hospital Tuesday, Jan. 15. She had been a patient there for about two weeks.

She was born Jan. 24, 1886 in Stratford the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elick [Josephine Louisa Peterson] Swedlund. She was a life-long member of the South Marion United Methodist Church.

Her parents and one sister preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Bud (Ruth) Patterson of Stratford and Ruby Swedlund of Boone; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. at the South Marion United Methodist Church with Rev. Ellis Andrews officiating. Burial will be in the South Marion Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Stark Welin Chapel Wednesday from 2 till 5 p.m.; Wednesday at the Hanson-Stark-Welin Chapel in Stratford from 7 till 9 p.m.; and Thursday at the Hanson-Stark-Welin Chapel from 9 a.m. till noon.
