Miss Pearl Mildred Swedlund, 71, lifelong resident of the Stratford area, died this Saturday morning, March 22, at her home 5 miles southeast of Stratford.

The late Miss Swedlund, daughter of A.J. and Mary Anderson Swedlund was born Feb. 20, 1898 near Stratford. She was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist faith and was a member of the South Marion Methodist Church.

Survivors include a sister, Miss Elsie M. Swedlund and a brother, Floyd R. Swedlund, both of Stratford; and 2 nephews and a niece.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 25, at 2 p.m. at the South Marion Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert B. Winter in charge. Burial will be in the South Marion Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Foster Funeral Home at Webster City, until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, when the body will be taken to the church.
