MRS. A.J. SWEDLUND

Funeral services for Mrs. A.J. Swedlund, age 90, long time resident of Stratford, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 1958 at the South Marion church near Stratford.

A brief service was held in the family home four and one half miles southeast of Stratford, preceding the service at the church. The Rev. F.M. Garrett and Rev. A.G. Heddle officiating and burial in the South Marion cemetery. Foster Funeral Home in charge.

Mary Ann Anderson, daughter of A.P. and Margaret [Olson] Anderson was born Dec. 2, 1867, on a farm southeast of Stratford. She was reared and educated in the Stratford community.

She was united in marriage March 8, 1894 to Mr. A.J. Swedlund. Mr. and Mrs. Swedlund farmed in the Stratford community and had made their home on the present farm since 1903.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who died Sept. 24, 1955 by her parents, one brother and one sister. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Elsie and Miss Pearl, both at home; Floyd Swedlund of Stratford; three grandchildren, Robert and Dale of Stratford and Doris of Fontana, Calif.; also two great grandchildren, Linda Sue and Shari Lou; and one brother, Albert Anderson of Stratford.

Mrs. Swedlund was a member of the South Marion church.
