Mrs. William Skagerberg and two sons arrived here from Bricelyn, Minnesota, Tuesday, with the body of William Skagerberg, who passed away at that place Saturday, April 1, after an illness of over a year of cancer of the stomach. William Skagerberg was the only son of Eric and Johanna Skagerberg. He was born at Boone, Iowa, August 17, 1870, and was therefore 45 years, 7 months and 15 days of age at the time of his demise. Jan. 27, 1894, he was united in marriage to Emma Lundquist, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Lundquist of Stratford, Iowa. They resided on a farm near here until a couple of years ago when they moved to Bricelyn, Minn. He was the father of six children, Fred, Hazel, Clarence, Raymond, Mildred and Stanley, who with the wife, mother, four sisters and a host of warm friends are left to mourn the loss of a kind and loving father and husband and a good neighbor and friend. Funeral services were held from the Lutheran church Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Callerstrom, and he was lovingly laid to rest in the South Marion cemetery. Kind friend hail and farewell.
