Delmar Gene Sonksen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Sonksen, was born at Boone, Iowa, April 11, 1952, and passed away at Stratford, July 6, 1953, at the age of 1 year, 2 months, 25 days.

Left to mourn his departure are his grief stricken parents and one brother, Dannie; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Sonksen, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Silvey of Stratford, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the South Marion church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, following a brief prayer service at 1:15 at the Schroeder Funeral home at Boone. The Rev. A.G. Heddle officiated the services, assisted by the Rev. Otto Steele, pastor of Calvary Methodist church. Songs for the service were sung by Mrs. Verlyn Fry, Miss Pearl Swedlund and Joan Fry, with Miss Elsie Swedlund as accompanist. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Magnuson and Mr. and Mrs. Loren Patterson were in charge of the flowers.

Following the services, interment was made in the South Marion cemetery. The pallbearers were: Dean Engstrom, Rex Jones, Earl Simonson and Harold Berglund.
