FLORENCE SILVEY

Florence Mabel Silvey, 85, Evangelical Free Church Home, died Sept. 4, 1981 at the home. She was born July 4, 1896 at Stratford, the daughter of Gustav Brandt and Christina Johnson Brandt. She married Fred Silvey, Sept. 9, 1919 at Boone.

Mrs. Silvey was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fred, a son, a daughter, four brother and two sisters.

Survivors include a son, Donald of Granger; four daughters, Mrs. Arlene Grabau and Mrs. Evelyn Davis, both of Boone and Mrs. Jeanette Welp and Mrs. Delores Oliver, both of Ames; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, with Pastor Paul Faga officiating. Burial will be in the South Marion Cemetery, Stratford.

Friends may call at the Schroeder Funeral Home on Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m., on Monday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until noon. The family will be at the funeral home Monday, at 7 p.m.
