Larry C. Quick of Story City, 42, died at his home Tuesday morning after suffering a massive heart attack. He was a former resident of Hamilton County.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 16, at 1:30 p.m. at the Stratford School gymnasium, with the Rev. Harley Carbaugh of the Grace United Methodist Church in Story City officiating. Burial is to be at the South Marion Cemetery at Stratford.

Friends may call Thursday until the time of services at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City. Family members plan to be at the funeral home from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday.

The son of Stanley and Helen [Olson] Quick, he was born Dec. 5, 1939 at the Boone County Hospital. He was graduated from Stratford High School and the University of Northern Iowa and taught school at Stratford and at South Hamilton. He was married Aug. 12, 1972 to Pamela Myatt and for the past three years has been employed at the bank in Stratford.

Mr. Quick is survived by his wife, Pam; two daughters, Angela and Karma, at home; his father, Stanley Quick Sr. of Stratford, and two brothers, Dr. Stanley Quick Jr. of Storm Lake and Harlan Quick of State Center.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
