Daily Freeman Tribune, Webster City, Iowa, Wednesday, February 10, 1904

Charlie Wille died last night at 10:45 o'clock at his home in Blairsburg from the effects of an attack of measles. Mr. Wille was about forty years old and leaves a wife [Nellie C Scott] and three children. He is the son of H.F. Wille [mother Hannah Mae Cullen], one of the widely known and respected pioneer citizens of Williams, who is at present mayor of that city. Deceased has resided in Blairsburg about four years, where he was employed as section foreman on the Illinois Central railroad. He was industrious and highly respected and his ? demise will be mourned by all who knew him.

The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at the home of his father in Williams. The hour is not yet decided upon.

The many friends of Charles Wille, of Blairsburg, will be grieved to learn that after an illness of only a little over two weeks, he died last evening of what was termed by attending physicians as an obstruction of the bowels.

Charles Wille was a son of Mayor H.F. Wille, of this city. He was born January 7th, 1872 on a farm near Williams and had reached the age of 32 years. He had spent the most of his life in and around Williams. A few years ago he moved to Blairsburg where he was employed on the section of the Illinois Central railroad. He leaves a loving wife and three children besides his father, three brothers and one sister and a host of friends to mourn his early departure. He was a member in good standing of the M.W.A. of Blairsburg Camp No. 7848. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at the Catholic church in this city at 10 o'clock after which the remains will be laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery, west of town. The Wasp extends sympathy to the bereaved ones.
